Going to a Doctor of Chiropractic is a new experience for many - maybe you've heard through a friend how helpful chiropractic or acupuncture was for them or maybe you have done some research online...or maybe you were referred by your primary care. It's possible that you are just fed up with living in pain and it's time to do something about it!
In any case, much of your first visit will be spent going over your history, the doctor will perform a thorough exam and your goals for treatment will be discussed.
As with any doctor's visit, at Advanced Wellness & Sports Rehab, you'll start by filling out new patient paperwork which helps the doctor understand, in your own words, what is going on and how it's affecting your life. Upon meeting with the doctor, you'll go over that paperwork, discuss your concerns and expectations as well as have the opportunity to have any questions answered that you may have. We will obtain a full history of the current problem as well as an overall history, a physical examination is performed and, if deemed necessary, x-rays will be obtained to see what your current state is. Once the exam is complete, the overall results will be discussed and, together, we'll come up with a plan of action which will begin when you are completely satisfied and ready to move forward!
